%#&^@ iPod!!!

Isn't it wonderful when you're having a great run at the track. You're 6 months pregnant, but hey, you're running as many 200's as you can, keeping right around 10-11 minute mile pace. Hey, it feels good! The music is good, you feel good, heart rate is good... THEN THE DAMN IPOD RESETS ITSELF AND YOU LOSE THE ENTIRE WORKOUT! (using Nike+)!!! Bad, iPod, bad!

Belly Updates

Gabrialla Maternity Support Belt1. Pam went running this morning! Well, I ran and walked. I discovered that I will need some sort of support for my belly at this point. It's kind of like I need a giant sport bra for my belly. So I ordered this maternity support belt recommended by pregnant runners.

It's a Girl - Sterling Pregnancy Belly Ring 2. The belly ring is back in because I found these rings. I also found a piercing place here in town that carries them. The plan is to go get one. Also, on the web page, notice toward the bottom the cool charms you can add to the belly ring. I think I will definitely get one of these.

Biking the Everglades

Today Pam and I went out to the Shark Valley Trail in the everglades. Its a nice 15 mile paved loop with lots of wildlife to see. We also took a side trip to a stream in the everglades where I caught some bluegills on a a jig.

Good Bye Belly Ring

Tonight Pam discovered that it is time to remove her belly ring: Yes, I was waiting for the last minute. I looked down this evening and discovered that the skin holding the ring was getting thin. I also noticed how it was getting a little irritating. So I took it out...so sad! There goes my sexy belly.

It's hard to get used to a changing body. I'm not used to have this extra weight - and I'm only halfway there! But, still, yesterday I had a good 50 minute workout and today I walked/jogged for 2 miles.

puppies!

Our friend and coworker Elizabeth's chihuahua "Sophia" had puppies! Here they are about 3 days old. Its amazing how regardless of breed, all puppies kind of look the same.

a "snow day"? for school?

Its 5:53am and it is stormy out with a tornado watch. But what is important to me is the possibility of school being closed today. I could really use a break. I have been fighting chest congestion for the past three weeks now! That's the worst -- when you get an extended, but not totally debilitating sickness. I go to work but colapse on the couch and sleep for a couple of hours every afternoon. Yesterday, we rented the move Sunshine, a sci-fi movie about how the sun is dying so they sent a crew in a spaceship to "restart" the sun with a massive amounts of explosives. I'm sure that wouldn't actually work but it was done pretty well.

two people dead 30 feet from our house!

South Beach residents and tourists said they are shaken after a gunman fatally shot a pharmacy employee then took his own life just blocks away on a busy stretch of Alton Road Wednesday night.
Witnesses said they heard two gunshots about 6:15 p.m. Police found the first shooting victim at the CVS pharmacy near 14th Street and Alton Road, a place where residents are accustomed to walking to nearby shops and restaurants. According to witnesses, the victim worked as a loss prevention employee for CVS. He was shot after confronting a man outside the store, Local 10 reported.
CVS employee Jafari Hilbert was not working at the time of the shooting, but he told Local 10's Kellie Butler that he believes the gunman shot the loss prevention officer after he tried to prevent him from shoplifting.
